The Times Square billboard project is a project to celebrate Ninomae Ina’nis’s birthday on May 20, 2021 by displaying fan art on the Thomson Reuters billboard in Times Square. The billboard displayed the submitted content from May 20, 06:00 Eastern Daylight Time to 01:00, 7 minutes every hour. The project has a website to track submissions.
After reaching out to Cover, u/Ninjastahr shared the project on Reddit requesting art and text submissions. Ina herself mentioned she was looking forward to seeing it. Art and video of the event was shared on Twitter with the hashtags #TakoTimesSquare and #inart.
On Ina’s birthday stream, she expressed her appreciation of the project and the overwhelming support from her fans.
